Brose Baskets is a men's German professional basketball club based in Bamberg, Bavaria.
Brose Baskets was founded in 1955 under the name of 1.FC 01 Bamberg, which was changed 4 times over the years, before finally, becoming Brose Baskets in 2006/07 season.
In 2004/05 the club won the first of two German Championships and became in 2005/06 season, the first-ever German team to reach the Top 16 in an Euroleague.
The second Championship title came in 2006/07 and even though they couldn't defend the champion title for the 2007/08, they did managed to make it to the play-offs, but couldn't pass on the quarterfinals.
