Spurs are dominating the Series 2-0
By Audrey Nolan
With a team that seems to be perfect, with a trio unlike any other NBA team, the San Antonio Spurs are making their way to the NBA championship with the Series to their favor 2-0.
Tony Parker scored 30 points, Manu Ginobili had 25 and Tim Duncan added 23 as the Spurs were superior than Cleveland in the basketball championship for 3½ quarters, overpowering the Cavaliers 103-92 in Game 2 on Sunday night to take a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals.
The Cavaliers made a huge effort to reach the Spurs, but when the superstar from the Cavaliers Lebron James came into the game, it was too late. James, limited to 14 points in his final debut, scored 25 points Sunday on 9-of-21 shooting to lead Cleveland. But the superstar got into early foul trouble and played less than three minutes in the first quarter, then sitting while the Spurs ran away to their huge lead.
"We knew it was coming," Parker said of the Cavs' comeback. They are an NBA team and have LeBron James. They played very good in the fourth quarter. They made a big run, but in the end we made a couple of stops and got the win."
Meanwhile James was frustrated because the 2 loses, and stated "We're definitely still confident," We've been down 2-0 before and we have to find a way to get back the intensity we had in the fourth quarter and carry it into Game 3."
Game 3 is Tuesday night at Quicken Loans Arena, which has never hosted a final game and might only end up holding two unless the Cavaliers can put together four solid quarters.
