All the Football Fans can Go Back to their TV Chairs
by Ally White
This weekend is one of those weekends made for the sports fans to enjoy, mostly football fans, it starts an extend selection of sporting events that you don't want to miss. Baseball is winding down to its final stages, the NFL’s season is two weeks away from its kickoff and the college football season is set to kick off on Thursday. The first weekend has some great matchups with some familiar faces.
The best team ranked for the NCAA Football, Ohio State, kicks off the 2006 campaign by playing against Northern Illinois at home at the Horseshoe. The Ohio State Buckeyes have a couple of hopes quarterback Troy Smith and wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. On the other hand the Huskies also have their own special treat in running back Garrett Wolfe.
Another thing to look out for will be the USC Trojans without Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush as they travel to Arkansas. But hold your tears for USC they still have wide reciever Dwayne Jarrett and quarter back John David Booty to lead a talented offense that promises to put up an entertained game.
Speaking of expectations, none is higher than for the Florida Gators. And don't be surprised to see quarterback Chris Leak spend most of the season looking over his shoulder for Tim Tebow if he struggles.
Make no mistake football season is here and it is coming up strong.
