The New 7 Wonders of the World

Special guest like the soccer idol Cristiano Ronaldo, the austronaut Neil Armstrong as well as the professor Mayor from the UNESCO will take part of this important ceremony which will be a spectacle full of color and brilliance. In addition, musicians of the stature of Jennifer Lopez, Dulce Pontes, Chaka Khan and the legendary tenor Jose Carreras will be there to animate the public.
There are 21 options for July 7th final; the Indian presence at the global show is very particular, represented by Taj Mahal, which is one of the strongest contenders to be one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. However, the candidate ranking is extremely volatile, since votes are pouring in from every corner of the world each day.
Besides Taj Mahal, the top 10 is conformed by: Greece's Acropolis, Mexico's Chichen Itza pyramid, the Eiffel Tower, Easter Island, Brazil's Statue of Christ Redeemer and Jordan's Petra. The Great Pyramids of Giza, the only surviving structures from the original seven wonders of the ancient world, are assured of keeping their status in addition to the new seven.
So far more than 60 million votes have been received worldwide; most of them by Latin-Americans and Asians, but the organizers are predicting a rush final of voting from Europe and USA which will make the seven wonders an equivalent selection.
