The University of Washington Huskies are undergoing some big changes. Not only is the school remodeling it’s stadium at University Village, but this year, they will have a chance to play perhaps one of the finest football players to come out of the NCAA in the recent years. Robert Griffin III is the man behind what we could call a fairly successful year from the guys over at Baylor. At 9-3 in the Big 12, Baylor is still not among the strongest teams in the Nation, but this year, under the leadership of their star quarterback, the Baylor Bears could have a good chance to win a Bowl Game for the first time in twenty years.

The winner of this year’s Heisman Trophy, and the first player from this institution to receive the recognition as the year’s most valuable player in college football

The winner of this year’s Heisman Trophy, and the first player from this institution to receive the recognition as the year’s most valuable player in college football, could take advantage at what is virtually a home game at San Antonio, Texas as the No. 15 ranked school in the nation faces the University of Washington Huskies on the Alamo Bowl on December 29th. Griffin has managed to single handedly push the Baylor Bears back into football relevance while breaking as many as 46 school records and becoming perhaps one of the most successful passers in the league. Griffin was simply in a whole another league. It didn’t matter if it was his passing game or his running game, the numbers he recorded this season speak for themselves. Just consider that he led the nation with a 192.3 passer rating, throwing 36 touchdowns and just six interceptions. But that’s not all, the kid can also move and swivel around the opposite defenses with ease. As if his air game was not enough, Griffin actually added 644 rushing yards and nine more TDs on the ground.

Most everybody is assuming that Andrew Luck will be the No. 1 pick in next year’s draft. But rumor has it, Griffin III might actually end up been the most desirable selection for either the Indianapolis Colts, the Minnesota Vikings or the St. Louis Rams, or whoever it is that ends up taking the No. 1 pick. Griffin is only a Junior in terms of eligibility, but he has already earned his degree in Political Science and although it is still uncertain whether he’ll take part of the draft or not, his NFL stock has been rising constantly and a flawless performance against the Huskies could even give him some extra kudos.

The Bears have been unstoppable during the last 5 games. They even managed to defeat the Big 12 conference rivals, the Oklahoma Sooners, for the first time ever. The team has averaged 587 yards and 46.4 points during that stretch. It seems that the Washington Huskies defense isn’t really equipped to slow down the Sooners. Their defense numbers are among the worst in the league. Perhaps that’s why the Huskies are currently a +9½ point underdog for their match against the Bears
