Ochoa Wins in Palm Desert and Becomes the Female Player of the Year

The Mexican Lorena Ochoa obtained for second consecutive year the prize to the LPGA player of the year, after winning her title at the Palm Desert Tournament with four blows of advantage. 

This was her seventh victory of the year and the sixteenth during her career, finishing this season with a total of 270 blows, 18 below par. Ochoa received a $250,000dollars prize, which elevates her profits to $ 3,318.421.

She was asked for how long she plans to remain as the world’s number she said ''I always try to keep one step ahead, without distracting me', concentrating on my practices and the rest. And I consider many things to improve. '' I’m going to work hard''.

Mi Hyun Kim finished with 69 impacts and remained four of the Mexican, while the rookie of the year, the Brazilian Angela Park and Jeong Jang drew with 70 blows in the third place, with 13 below par total.

Kim said Ochoa, as opposed to many other players gives long distance blows as well as good short blows. '' She is still young, but she has good mentality, and if she gives a long blow, she gives a good putt. She has many things to her favor. I'm jealous'', said Kim smiling.
