New England Patriots vs. Denver Broncos
For this Monday night football game, the starters list on both teams should be read like this: ankle, hamstring, flu, concussion, groin, etc…

I will never get tired of mentioning that injuries have taken their fee and therefore the teams aren’t on stage at a championship level. Nevertheless, although neither of New England or Denver squads is consider the cream of the crop, they are still aiming at each other with all their power.
The Patriots took a step back on Sunday night in an embarrassing loss at San Diego, looking aged and sluggish and QB Matt Cassel seemed to lose ground (check article “Isn't Matt Cassel supposed to be getting better?”).
Denver's once commanding offense is unpredicted, just middling and impetuous, and young QB Jay Cutler is not moving this team on his back like he used to. The good news are that Denver and New England are playing in a conference that doesn’t feature a team that could take a very advantage lead from the rest of the pack, so both of these groups are still right in the middle of the playoff race, this turns the match more interesting.
I will provide the answer before the question: yes, the Broncos want to show the Patriots the word supremacy! Is written on their game notes.
With a (3-2) on the board, losing MVP Tom Brady after a knee injury has had a big effect, especially if we compare the (16-0) regular season back in 2007.
Matt Cassel has the talent and there is no doubt about it, but the offense has defy to move the ball and based on the 20 points scored only in a few games, we can see a further strong action approaching. Perhaps these issues are little when compared to the 89 points given by the defense this season _Oh yes! And of course losing 2 out of 3 games does not sound very promising.
I won’t mention Matt Cassel anymore for this game, since I promised to give him a break for a game or two. So, after a terrible 4-0 from Sept 29th to October 27th back in 2007, New England is definitely trying to avoid a similar reappearance for this season. That game end up with the Broncos defeating at home with a 24-16 result and it really took a while to the Patriots to overcome it.
Bottom line here is that both teams have tons of pressure to hold on. The Patriots have the obligation to make Cassel look good, because on that team if Matt performs badly, the entire squad does too. The Broncos lost their second game of the season last week, but they have a chance to redeem themselves in the national limelight. After seven games and for the second time, the team will be under the intense illumination of Monday Night Football.
I have to conclude saying that this is a full-size intensive game and given that it is Monday Night Football, everyone is going to be watching, so these teams must show what they are made of!
