Beckham Returns but the Galaxy Draw with The Bulls

By Stephen Lars

The former captain of the English soccer team, David Beckham, played once again after seven weeks of absence due to injuries, only to achieve a draw with his current team, the L.A. Galaxy, the final score was a 1-1 against the New York Red Bulls.

At the 68th minute, Beckham entered the field, basically his first appearance after suffering a serious knee injury last August 29.

This result leaves the Galaxy with a need to win the last game of the regular season, which will be next Sunday against the Chicago Fire in order to gain a spot at the playoffs.

The Galaxy enjoyed a brief advantage when Troy Roberts made a pass to Landon Donovan and scored the first and only goal for the team.

The New York Bulls are in a similar situation as the Galaxy as they have not yet been able to assure a place in the playoffs obtained the draw just one minute after, when Jozy Altidore pitched an astonishing center of Dave Van Den Bergh.
