Federer for the record!

By Jill Woods

On his eight major events, Federer reached the semifinals, and he needs two more wins at the French Open to surpass the record placed by Rod Laver in 1969 who won 4 consecutive majors.

Federer declared that at the beginning of the tournament he had a big pressure but now he is more relaxed and he is just waiting for the final against Rafael Nadal. They both were on the Monte Carlo and Rome finals this year.

He has won the last 3 major events, but actually he has in total 11 wins in this specific tournament; he has never won a French Open, by the way.

Also is good to mention that Federer, has win 26th consecutive matches at the Grand Slam fact that made him past Jimmy Connors (25 wins) and Pete Sampras (25 wins), and obtain the second place, waiting to be sometime on the first place instead Rod Laver who has 29 wins. “I think this is his main goal”

Federer is a talented tennis player, and with only 24 years old the swiss has reached more than expected on his career and he has given also a really good moments to this popular sport.
