Roddick Looses at Memphis against Haas

Tommy Haas is having an incredible week. He beat Andy Roddick 6-2, 6-3 at Memphis on Sunday, where he was defending his title in the Regions Morgan Keegan Championship.
This is the sixth straight final and 11th title for the German. He won in Memphis back in 1999 as well and is the only second tree-time winner for this event besides Jimmy Connor, who is Roddick’s Coach now; he won in 1978, 1979, 1983 and 1984.
Roddick has won 3 of the previous 4 matches against Haas. Haas played so well that Roddick's lone point off the German's serve through his first three service games was a double-fault, and Roddick's best chance to break Haas came in the second game of the second set.
"He just outplayed me today," Roddick said. "I shot myself in the foot by playing sloppy early. He just got the momentum and went with it. I think we get to 2-all, 3-all; 4-all in the first set, maybe it's different. I donated a bit early, and after that, he completely outplayed me." The US player hasn’t played on a final since last September, where he lost the final against Roger Federer in the US open, and the last title he achieved was last August in Cincinnati.
"I guess it is quite a good week," Haas said. "I've been serving well. Every time I get my first serve in ... I feel like I'm dictating play. Against players like these, you have to really try to be solid on your service games."
He has not lost a final since Andre Agassi beat him in Rome in December 2002.
