Federer trying to get beyond

By Jill Woods

Last year one of the most famous and talented tennis players missed the title in the final, but this loss motivated Federer to continue getting up the stairs to reach his main goal.

But there is no doubt that this year he will need more than a positive attitude, to get a positive result at Roland Garros. The victory of the world’s No.1 in Paris had a big repercussion over Federe’s objective to beat the record of the Grand Slam titles which belongs to Peter Sampras (14). Federer has a total of 10 titles.

The player already knows the effort he has to do to domain the game field, but his talent does help him to reach it, and if he never goes to Paris it will be a big stain on his career.

One of the important things is that Federer has the physical techniques to become the winner. Many people think that Rafael Nadal is his No.1 opponent, maybe due to the fact that the player stopped Federer’s possibilities in the 2005’ semifinals as well as last year’s final.

After that, Roger defeated Nadal at Wimbledon leaving his bad luck behind and getting another perspective of his game and his opponent.

In order to see Nadal again in the court he will have to play 6 games and win, which won’t be easy because he will have to play against very good players.

Next June 10th , Federer will have a new chance to set a record in tennis history, and we hope he will get beyond his expectations.
