- It has been established that the Grand Prix will be held at Silverstone until 2009, this was arranged after a series of negotiations among the BRDC, Ecclestone and the Formula One constructors due to the British Grand Prix being left off the preliminary race schedule for 2005 as the BRDC refused to pay the mandatory race fee.

The first British Grand Prix of 1950 was held on the Silverstone circuit. This glorious and known track is 5.138km (3.193 miles) in length .The race length is 308.296 km with 60 laps.

The record placed for Michael Schumacher in 1997 was in a Ferrari F310B V 10 with a time of 1m 24.475 sec and speed of 219.047km/h.
