The Nerves Magny-Cours covers a relatively small area, but is a fairly quick and very technical circuit.
The Estoril curve is fast and plays a major role in car set-up. Its smooth surface makes it a favorite with the drivers, but it is often difficult for teams to set the car up for, simply because there is no other circuit like it. Teams, therefore, normally opt for medium down force with a lower than normal ride height, which helps to increase down force whilst producing minimal drag.
The circuit has a mix of high and low-speed corners with relatively low grip the common factor throughout.
