Jack Nicklaus

Nicklaus started to play golf before the age of 10. At a very young age he won the first of six straight Ohio State Junior titles. Then in 1959 and 1961 he won the U.S Amateur titles. During his entire career he has won 73 PGA Tour tournaments.
Nicklaus has a very long career as a golfer. He won 18 professional majors and he finished second in other 19 games. He posted 48 top 3 finishes, 56 top 5 finishes and 73 top 10 finishes.
Many golf fans wonder if Tiger Woods will ever challenge Nicklaus’ records, but for now, Nicklaus is known as the most accomplished player in the history of major championship golf. He always showed his work with professionalism and class.
He turned pro in 1962, earning $33.33 in his first event, also in that same year he won his first major defeating Palmer in an 18-hole playoff at the U.S Open. Nicklaus won all the majors a second time and by the age of 26 he had completed the career Grand Slam.
In 1978 with his British Open victory, he won the majors at least 3 times each. In 1986 by the age of 46 he won his final major with six masters.
Nicklaus created his own equipment company and has designed hundreds of golf courses. This legendary golfer was included on the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974. Jack Nicklaus has his own museum on the Ohio State university campus
