This professional ice hockey team was originally founded in 1993 as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. Despite the short background history the Ducks have won one division title and two conference ones besides one Stanley Cup trophy.
In 2006 the franchise was sold to a corporate group that changed the team’s name to Anaheim Ducks.
Despite several rough season there have been several players that helped the team get back on track and become of the best in the league; these players are: Joffrey Lupui, Corey Perry, Chris Kunitz, and Ryan Getzlaf.
As the present Stanley Cup holders the Ducks tried their best throughout the season to gain a spot in the playoffs and managed a total of 47 wins, 27 loses but unfortunately the team lost during the conference quarterfinals.
The Canadian Randy Carlyle has been leading the Ducks since the 2005-2006 season and has already to his gain a Cup victory during the 2006-2007 season. Carlyle has coached teams like the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Pittsburg Penguins; he was named Honored and was also winner of the Norris Trophy back in 1981.
