The College strongest program is the athletic one which involves a large range of sports representing the school in the NCAA Division I.

The men’s basketball team is known as the Terriers which is very popular; they have obtained post-season berths in the NCAA tournament or NIT from 2002-2005.

Some big names that have coached the team are: Rick Pitino and Mike Jarvis. Currently; they are guided by Al Skinner.

The team’s biggest rivalry is with the Maine Black Bears and the Catamounts of Vermont and the team plays its home games at the recently built Agganis Arena which has outstanding features.
