The University of Hartford’s athletic teams are known as the Hawks and are part of the America East Conference.

The school’s nickname was first introduced after the 1940’s while they competed as Hillver College.

The team plays its home games at the Chaes Arena at Reich Family Pavillion which opened in 1990 and has a capacity of 3,977 seats.
