The men’s basketball team is known as the Hatters and they are part of the Atlantic Sun conference.
Their coaching staff is led by Derek Waugh and assistants Jon Coffman, Wylie Tucker, and Sebastian Singletary.
The Hatters have not appeared in the NCAA Tournament, and unless there is a big change in their tactics, programs and schemes, they won't go to March Madness anytime soon.
The Hatters have had a long time rivalry with the University of Central Florida, but the school has recently moved to a different conference.
The team’s current coach is Derek Waugh and they play their home games at the Edmunds Center.
The Hatters finished the 2008-2009 season with a 9-11 record in conference games, and went 13-17 in overall. The team was expecting to bring back a strong squad for the following season. But things have not worked quite well in 2009-2010. As of early February 2010, the Stetson hatters sit last in the Atlantic Sun Conference with a 3-11 mark in conference games.
