The men’s basketball team is known as the Dukes and they have won two regular season conference titles during the early 1980’s besides the 1977 post season conference tournament.
The Dukes’ main rivalry is against Robert Morris university.
The Dukes overall game record for the 2007-08 season stands at: 17-13 overall and 7-9 in the conference, placing it in the 9th place of the A10 conference standings.
Some of the team’s most famous Dukes are: Chuck Cooper, Sihugo Green, Norm Nixon, Dick Ricketts and Willie Somerset.
