The Coloncials have in appeared in 9 NCAA Tournaments, their most recent came back in 2007.
The 2005-06 team achieved the school's best performance in the last 50+ years. They closed the tournament at #6 in the nation.
The colonial received an #8 seed in the NCAA Tournament. In March Madness, they came back from an 18-point second-half deficit to defeat #9 seed UNC-Wilmington.
The school was very dissapointed when the team lost to Duke University, the top overall seed, in the second round.
During the 2006-2007 season, Coach Hobbs led the Colonials to a 23-9 record plus a conference Tournament Title.
2008-2009 was not a good season for Karl Hobbs. The team finished with a 10-18 record and a 4-12 mark in conference games.
The team is really going to need to make some changes if they want to get somewhere close to their recent form. Thinks are not looking too good in 2009-2010 either. As of early February, the teams is 2-7 in confernce games. It seems that one more losing season is in order for the Colonials.
