The men’s basketball team is known as the Colonials and they have been a very successful program at George Washington.

The team has won four regular season conference championships besides two post season conference tournaments.  In the 1990’s the Colonials also participated in the

The team’s current Head Coach is Karl Hobbs who has spent approximately 7 years leading the team.  Just last season, Coach Hobbs led the Colonials to a 23-9 record plus a conference Tournament title and a win/loss record of 23-9 and a PCT of .719.

The Colonials play their home games at the Charles E. Smith Athletic Center in Washington D.C.
