The Minutemen have won six regular season conference titles. The team was very dominating during the 1990’s, taking five championships.
The minutemen have participated in 8 NCAA Tournaments. The team made it to the Final Four in 1996, but it has not made it to March Madness since 1998.
Travis Ford was the Minutemen's Head Coach since since the 2005 season until 2009. He guided the team to an outstanding season in 2006-2007. The team went 13-3 in conference games and won the regular season conference title in 2007.
The team lost some key players for the following season and had to suffer a bit in the 2008-2009 season. Massachusetts went 7-9 in conference games and 12-18 overall to finish 10th in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
On his first year as Head Coach, Derek Kellog has had to bring on his best strategies to keep the team stable over the rough patches. As of early February 2010, the Minutemen are 2-7 in conference games, and are second to last in the conference. There is a lot of work that needs to be done if Kellog hopes to right the Minutemen's ship.
