St. Bonaventure has had some on and off success with their Basketball Program. This includes a Final Four appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 1970.
The Bonnies have had some trouble in the last 10 years. They are still to place in the top 5 spots of the A10 Conference.
The team is currently coached by March Schmidt along with his assistants Jeff Massey, Dino Presley. 2009-2010 will be his fourth season leading the Bonnies.
In the 2008-2009 the team finished 15-15 overall, but lost 10 of those games in conference games. This was the best performance by the team in its last six years.
For the 2009-2010 season the Bonnies are going to count with sophmore Andrew Nicholson who won the league's Rockie Of The Year award
