The Saint Louis University's Basketball team has had six appearances in the NCAA Division I tournaments. The Billikens have not played in March Madness since 2000.
The team’s current coach is Rick Majerus. He has been leading the team since April 2007.
Saint Louis held an 8-8 record in conference games in 2008-2009. The team overall record was 18-14, just good enough to finish 9th in the conference.
Saint Louis lost 3 of its starters for 2009-2010 season. The team is actually one of the youngest in the nation. There are no Senior players, and only one Junior.
Head Coach Rick Majerus is taking his chances with a couple of foreign players. At least two talented Australians have been brought from abroad enriching the team. As of early February 2010 the young team is holding in the middle of the standings in the A10 with 6-3 in conference games record.
