The Blue Devils are one of the most successful college basketball teams in the United States.
The team has won three NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championships and participated in 14 Final Four. The team has also won 16 ACC championships, moreover, 71 players have been picked for the NBA Draft and nine players have won the National Player of the year title.
Duke's heated rivarly with the North Carolina Tarheels is widely renowed in college sports.
Over the past years the Duke Blue Devils have had great success in the hands of head coach Mike Krzyzewski.
In the 2008-2009 season, Duke finished second in the Atlantic Coast Conference. They went 11-5 in conference games and held a 28-6 overall record. The team went on to play in the NCAA sweet sixteen where they lost to Villanova.
