The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets became one popular and strong program in college basketball under the coaching of Bobby Cremins, who served the team from 1981 until 2000.
Cremins guided the team to their first ACC championship in 1985 and to the school’s first appearance in the Final Four in 1991.
Currently, Georgia Tech's head coach is Paul Hewitt, who helped revitalize the basketball program, leading them to win the preseason NIT in the 2003 and 2004 seasons.
The team has an overall win percentage of 53%.
