The NC State Wolfpack Men’s Basketball team is considered one of the best programs in the history of college basketball.

The Wolfpacks have two NCAA National Championships, won in 1974 and 1983, respectively.

The team also won the Southern Conference Championship 7 times and the ACC Championship 10 times.

During the 2006-2007 season, NC State positioned themselves in # 6 in the NIT Quarterfinals.

Under Head Coach Sidney Lowe, the Wolfpack has not been too strong the past two seasons. In the 2008-2009 season the team ended 10th in the Atlantic Coast Conference, with a 6-10 conference and a 16-14 overall record.

Things are not looking that much brighter for this 2009-2010 season. As of late January, North Carolina State is 2-5 in conference games and 14-8 overall. If they don't pull off a good comeback for late season, they might just finish last in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
