During 1999-2000 the men’s basketball team completed the 6th major comeback in NCAA Division 1 history by rising over a 26 point deficit and winning over Coastal Carolina rivals.

In 2003 the Men's Basketball team won the Big South Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time.

The school men’s basketball program is known as the Bulldogs and they play their home games at the Justice Center.

Currently, the team is being led by Head Coach Eddie Biedenbach and Thomas Nash, Nicholas McDevitt and Trip Cogburn as assistants.
