The Pacific University's men’s basketball team is known as Tigers and they have won six regular conference championships and four conference tournaments with the Big West

The team is currently coached by Bob Thomason who has achieved the most wins (311) in the school’s history along with assistants Ron Verlin, Adam Jacobsen and Aaron Woliczko.

The Tigers have appeared 8 times in the NCAA Tournament, reaching the Sweet 16 in 1972 and the Elite 8 in 1967.
