The Indiana Hoosiers basketball team is a member of the Big Ten Conference as part of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

The Hoosiers have won five NCAA Tournaments, the third-most in college basketball history.

The team has also been Big Ten Conference Champion 20 times from 1926 to 2002 and ranks among the top ten college basketball teams in the United States.

The Hoosiers have made history in the NCAA due to their constant participation; a total of 32 times in the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament.

Indiana has an intense in-state rivalry against the Purdue Boilermakers, and other two out-state against the Kentucky Wildcats and the Illinois Fighting Illini.
