The Purdue's basketball program is rich in tradition and history especially for their status of founder member of the Big Ten Conference and being the only program in the conference with winning records against every other school in the Big Ten.
The Boilermakers owns 19 Big Ten Conference Championship titles and one National Championship, won in 1932.
Purdue shares a rivalry with the Indiana Hoosiers in wich Indiana leads the series 107-83.
Since the coach Matt Painter assumed the leadership of the team in 2005, the team has improved, finishing the 2006-2007 season in the fourth place of the Big Ten with a 9-7 conference record. |
