The school basketball team is considered as a legend in the sport due to their outstanding performance in the late 20’s.

The team is known as the Bobcats and have won five regular season conference titles and two post-season tournament titles with the Big Sky.

During the 1928-29 season the Bobcats reached the top by defeating AAU Champion Cook's Painters in a two-of-three series; as a result they obtained the Rocky Mountain Conference title. During this same time one of the Bobcats players; Cat Thompson was recognized as one of the top players in the 20th century in college hoops.

Head Coach Brad Huse wants to re-organize the squad after this 2008-09 season.
