The University of Northern Arizon along with the men basketball program which is known as the Lumberjacks joined the conference in 1970.
The Lumberjacks has won 5 regular season titles and two conference tournaments in 1998 and 2000 at the Big Sky.
The team finished the 2007-08 regular season with an overall record of 21-11 and a conference record of 11-5 with the direction of coach Mike Adras.
After 9 consecutive seasons with the Lumberjacks, Coach Mike Adras will provide a different approach for the 2008-09 season, by essentially recruiting value players.
