The Dragon’s men’s basketball team has produced some very talented and well-known players such as: Malik Rose, Don Maines, Bob Alejnikov and Michael Anderson. Malik Rose and Anderson played for the NBA, and Alejnikov is the only Dragon player to average a triple double in the whole season of 1975.
In 2007 the Men’s Basketball Drexel Dragons achieved the 35th place nationally with a final record of 23-9 which let them to the classification to the NIT post-season tournament.
The team has been able to make it to the tournament four times in the last five years.
This 2007-08, the Dragons didn’t have a good season by finishing with a conference record of 5-13 and an overall record of 12-20. For this season 2008-09 the Dragons aimed for better results and a possible inclusion in the conference tournament.
