Coach Lefty Driesell coached the Panthers Men’s Basketball team until 2003, he has been one of the best coaches with one of the best records in the Division I Basketball History.
During the period of 2007-08, the Phanters didn’t have a good season and were not even close to a good place in the conference. Georgia State ended with a conference record of 5-13 and an overall record of 9-21. This new season, Coach Rod Barnes is expecting a better performance from his players at the conference games.
