The school men’s basketball team is known as the Penguins. During the team’s history the most remarkable coach was Dom Rosselli, who had 36 seasons, the longest ever in the school history.

He has a record of 589-388 (60% overall). The best season record for the Penguins home court was in 1976-1977 with 17 victories and only 3 looses.
Up to today the team has not won a regular conference title.

Furthermore; the Penguins men’s basketball team has retired 5 number no.36 Tony Vivo, no.12 John McElory, No. 55, Jeff Covington, no.40 Leo Mogus, and Coach Dom Rosselli.

The team plays its home games at the Beehgly Center and they are currently coached by Jerry Slocum.
