The Siena Saints men's basketball team are members of the MAAC Conference in the NCAA Division I.
Fran McCaffery is their current head coach, being this his third consecutive season with the team. The play their home games in the Times Union Center.
The Siena's first NCAA Tournament victory was in 1989, where they won over Stanford 80-78. The team has appeared three times in the Tournament, the last one in 2002.
Siena has also participated in five NIT Tournaments (1988, 1991, 1994, 2000, 2003) and their best performance in the tournament was in 1994 when the team managed to get to the Semifinal, where they lost to Georgia Tech 76-68.
Currently, Siena has the second place in the MAAC standings of the 2007-08 regular season, with an overall record of 19-10 and a 13-5 conference record. |
