The school men basketball team is known as the Huskies. The team first started their membership with the MAC in 1973 but left on 1986, then in 1997 they joined the MAC once again.
The Huskies have won two regular conference championships and one post-season conference tournament.
The team has also appeared three times in the NCAA Basketball Tournament, the last one in 1996, but they haven't passed further from the First Round of the competition.
The Huskies are currently coached by Head Coach Ricardo Patton and assistants John Anderson, Dennis Gates, Sundance Wicks, and director of basketball operations Will Smith.
The 6-22 record last 2007-08 period left the team with a low table position; but with quality rosters on the team this 2008-09 period, Coach Patton who is starting his second year with the team, is hoping for significant improvement, especially on home games.
