The school’s men basketball team is known as the Broncos and they are members of the MAC since 1948.

The team have won several regular season championships; at least one in each decade from the 1950’s through 2005 being the most recent one.

In 2004 the Broncos won the post season conference tournament.

Coach Steve Hawkins brings a mixture of veterans and talented youngsters this 2008-09 period.

With a 20-12 record and despite dominating the West division in the Mid-American Conference last 2007-08 campaign , the Broncos are still considered inferior to the most of the teams in the East.
