Brigham Young’s men basketball team is known as the Cougars. The team competes in the Mountain West Conference in the NCAA Division I.
The Cougars won the regular season championship in the following years 2001, 2003, and 2007. Along with the 2001 post season conference tournament.
The team’s current coach is Dave Rose who has led the Cougars to a 20-win in a row season as well as the program’s first national ranking.
Due to the relationships developed by Rose across the country the Cougars have had the opportunity to participate in plenty of games with the nation’s top teams such as the 2004 EA SPORTS Maui Invitational besides other very important ones over the past several years.
