The TCU men's basketball team is known as the Frogs. The team is currently coached by Neil Dougherty who starts his sixth season with the Frogs.

Amongst his success with the team is the 2005 National Invitation Tournament berth; the school’s first in more than six years.

Some of the Frogs most accomplished basketball players who have move to the higher level and currently play in the NBA are: Santee, Murry, Bingo Merriex, Jamal Brown and Marcus Sloan.

TCU men's basketball team competes since the 1908-1909 season and have achieved to participate in the NIT (6 times) reaching the playoffs in 3 of them.
