MARCH MADNESS
Top 10 Rated Players in NCAA March Madness 2008
One of the hardest concerns to do in any game is grade the significance of one great player above the next.
Each MVP/Player of the Year/Wooden/ and Naismith prize has a lot of dispute over if the correct player got the award. Based on last year’s stats and summer reviews, these are the top 10 in our list.
1. Tyler Hansbrough (North Carolina) - The NBA team that picks him for the 2009 draft will have an exceptional player. The 22 year old “Psycho-T” has over-achieved his player status. Hansbrough is the supreme ACC Player of the Year, Naismith award conqueror, and Wooden prize winner.
He is the most ruling player in college basketball and this 2008-09 season will be the preferred to, once again, be triumphant on every Player of the Year honor that is awarded. There is a good opportunity that with the team that Hansbrough has around him at NC, he could average approximately 25points and 10 rebounds.
2. James Harden (Arizona State) - Not only will Harden bear his squad to the NCAA competition, but he will put up big numbers, perhaps somewhere around 22 points.
James Harden is back to school for the 2008-09 season and this makes a big impression on the team. Harden shoots a large percentage from the field and because he has another year beneath his belt, he will average still more than his percentage of 17.8 points from last season. He is much likely to be the force in the Pac-10 and an important player for Arizona.
3. B.J. Mullens (Ohio State) - Based on last years stats and achievements, Mullens will be one of the finest players in the NCAA for 2008-09 season. Mullens will show the way for his team to the NCAA event and in all probability past the Sweet Sixteen.
This season calculates approximately 15 PPG, 12 RPG and 3 BPG for Mullens. There really isn’t any replacement in the competition for a full-size athletic center that can score like that. Many believe that Mullens plays better on the square than Greg Oden in his time.
4. Demar DeRozan (USC) - DeRozan looks to trail as a great guard and be one of the finest players in the nation at that position. On the other hand, DeRozan isn’t basically just a guard, he is tall enough to play small forward and unquestionably fit enough to play any spot at the basketball court.
5. Luke Harangody (Notre Dame) - He is preferred to succeed as Big East performer of the year for the second year in a line and may end up as a first team All American. It will be very appealing to see how Harangody builds on his accomplishments of the last period. Luke could take his team to the Final Four and it most likely average around 20 points and maybe over 12 rebounds. He is also candidate for the NBA draft in 2009.
6. Stephen Curry (Davidson) - Some people distrusted Curry last period because he plays in not a very competitive conference, but he definitely showed what he was valued in games against Duke, UCLA, and North Carolina in Davidson’s non-conference calendar. Later, Curry was unstoppable in the NCAA competition.
This 2008-09 will seem similar to this amazing player. And his changing position of a guard to a point guard will can diminish his scoring average, but not by a great deal, and stats anticipate Curry to average over 25 points. It will be nice to see where Curry ends up in Player of the Year selection for this season 2008-09, especially if Davidson could get to NCAA tournament again and go further than last season.
7. Tyrese Rice (Boston College) –Rice can shoot the ball with marvelous constancy and is in fact underrated when it comes to attacking the hoop. Last year he was a head ache for NC, which is the reason why he is on this list.
With Rice all year, BC should have no difficulty to get into the NCAA tournament and Rice should acquire First Team All-ACC honors one more time. Rice is definitely one of the finest point guards in the NCAA and good choice for the 2009 NBA Draft.
8. Blake Griffin (Oklahoma) - Griffin can post up just about any person in the nation, and can spring back with the best of them. Not only does Griffin gives the notion of being a top player in this 2008-09 college season, but stats put him as number one selection in the NBA Draft for 2009. He also is a splendid competitor at the power forward position. Stats put him around 17 points and 11 rebounds for this campaign.
9. Jack McClinton (Miami FL) - McClinton has been a great leader for Miami in the past two seasons and is looking to guide them to a top place in their division as well as a deeper NCAA competition run. Looking to be the best three-point shooter in the country, he has been getting even better on his shooting and he will try to do a better performance. McClinton has a 42.7 percent from the three point line last season.
10. Sam Young (Pitt) - During his sophomore year he didn’t scored much, but last season he took a better percentage and scored 18 points per game. Young is very athletic for his size and will be also a key organizer for his team in 2008-09. Young gets the smallest things done and can score with no trouble against anyone in the country. He is anticipated to shine with the Panthers this term and even get about 7 or 8 rebounds per game. Young can have a possibility to get All-Big East First Team honors.
