St. Francis (PA) men's basketball team is known as the Red Flash and they have been playing since 1905. The team joined the NEC in 1981.
One of the most remarkable coaches for the Red Flash was Dr. William Hughes, who coached from 1945-1966 and had an overall record of 293-206.
In the season 2006-2007 the Red Flash finished with an overall record of 8-21 as last in the conference standings.
This 2007-2008 season the things didn’t change, St Francis ended in last place of the NEC with a overall record of 6-23.
Fo the 2008-09 season, the team will be playing for a new coach, Don Friday.
Fridays new job for this 2008-09 campaign will be to surpass the 18-68 record the past three seasons and start a new recruiting class as soon as possible.
