UT Martin’s athletics program is known as the Skyhawks. During their basketball history the team has not been able to achieve a conference championship.

Over the past nine years the team’s Head Coach has been Brett Campbell. During these seasons he has led the Skyhawks to five conference tournaments appearances besides coaching 11 players who were recruited professionally.

The basketball team plays its home games at the Skyhawks Arena; a 145,000 square feet space which is an impressive facility.

The Skyhawks are at all cost trying to improve this coming 2008-09 season, unfortunately they have lost many more games than they have won in Bret Campbell's seven years at head coach.
