The school’s men basketball team is known as the Huskies and the program has been very successful since its early beginnings achieving nine regular season conference titles besides one post season conference tournament in 2005.

That same year the team achieved their 800th victory a record of most wins for any NCAA team.

The Huskies’ current Head Coach is Lorenzo Romar who has managed to boost up the team leading them to three NCAA tournaments during 2004 to 2006 as well as appearances in the Sweet Sixteen tournament.

Washington Huskies overall game records for the 2007-08 season stand at: (16-16) overall,  (12-6) home, ( 4-7) away, (0-3) neutral and conference overall of (7-11).
