The Navy’s basketball program is also known as the Midshipmen. They play at the Alumni Hall, which has a capacity of 5,710 seats.
They joined the Patriot League Conference on 1991 and in during the years the team has won three PLC regular season titles (1994, 1997 and 1998).
The Midshipmens have participated 11 times in NCAA tournaments, but the fifth place in the highest they have reached, first in 1954 and later in 1986.
In 1962 the Navy Midshipmen when to the National Invitational Tournament for the first and only time.
The Navy head coach is Billy Lange since 1994-1995 season.
