Twenty six years after the foundation of the Georgia Southern University, the basketball team was born and reached an overall record of 3-4.

A year after joining the Southern Conference in 1991, the “Eagles” as they are called, climbed up to the 2nd place. While the Spartans took the Southern Conference North Division Title, the Eagles snatched the Southern Conference South Division Title.

Since their appearance in 1991 in the South Division of the Southern Conference, they managed to brought home three Southern Conference South Division Championship trophies.

All of those titles, were under the

leadership of a multi-awarded head coach Jeff Price. Coach Jeff Price owns a 293-153 overall mark in 15 years of coaching and is 157-111 at Georgia Southern University.

Lately, Luois Graham, one of the Eagle’s roster, earned the top coach and player awards given by the Atlanta Tipoff Club and is the State of Georgia Men’s College player of the Year.
