The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is one of three universities and two other affiliated institutions in the University of Tennessee System.
Located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The school was founded in 1886. The first men’s basketball team was formed in 1915 in hands of Coach John Spiegel.
Through the years the Mocs had won 15 Southern Conference regular season championships and have won 9 Conference Championship Tournaments.
One of the greatest coaches for the Mocs was Mark McCarthy who coached for 18 seasons and had a record of 243-122. On the other hand the all time scorer leader and one of the greatest players for UTC was Willie White who score a total of 1,972 points during the seasons 1980-84 and has a
impressive career field goals made of 797.
With Coach John Shulman guiding the team , the Mocs have won the Southern Conference North Division (2005, 2008), while reaching the final of the conference tournament in another (2006).
