The Troy Trojans basketball team is based on Troy, Alabama and their home is the Trojan Arena which has a capacity for 4,000 spectators.
Their head coach is Don Maestri, who's been with the team since 1982. During the 2003-2004 season, the team achieved a Conference trophy with an 18-2 record in the Conference and an overall record of 24-7 which made the team win a ticket to their first National Invitational Tournament. At this time, they were part of the Atlantic Sun Conference. The next season, they joined the Sun Belt Conference.
They finished the 2007-2008 season with an overall record of 12-19.
