The Kangaroos is the name of the men's basketball team of the Univesity of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) and plays in the NCAA Division I as member of the Summit League since 1994.

The Kangaroos play their home games at the Municipal Auditorium and they're coached since April, 2007 by Matt Brown, former assistant coach at West Virginia University.

The team hasn't win any conference titles yet, nor have appeared in a NCAA or NIT Tournament.

For the present 2007-08 regular season, the team has an overall record of 11-21 and a conference record of
6-12.
