The Loyola Marymount men's basketball team is called the Lions and it has been member of the West Coast Conference since 1955.
The teams has won four Conference League Championships and two Conference Tournament titles with the WCC.
The Lions have appeared 5 times in the NCAA Tournament, reaching the Elite 8 twice, in 1960 and 1990. They also appeared in the NIT in 1986.
LMU Lions play their home games at the Gersten Pavilion, where they played the highest scoring basketball game in the history of NCAA Division I, when the Lions defeated U.S. International 181-150 in 1989.
